Christina Patsalidou is a Full-Time Research Faculty in the Dance Programme of the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. Her educationincludes an MFA in Dance, a BFA in Dance, and a BSc in Nutritional Sciences fromThe University of Arizona. Patsalidou was a recipient of multiple grants and awardsfrom the state of Arizona and from Cyprus including a Medici Scholar Award, anAll American Scholar Award, a Graduate Fellowship Award and a Tucson Pima ArtsCouncil Mini grant for Individual Artists. In 2005 Patsalidou founded the DanceConnect Initiative Project, which established a long-term partnership betweenthe two graduate programs of the University of Arizona and Arizona StateUniversity. While in graduate studies, she has been awarded a Graduate TeachingAssistant position and taught three levels of the Ballet and Jazz technique. Inaddition, Patsalidou was invited to participate in the Opening Minds throughthe Arts Federally Funded Research Project as a Dance Specialist in the TucsonUnified School District. Upon her return to Cyprus, Patsalidou has been amember of Lefkosia Youth Ballet Board, Cyprus Dance Association and otherinternational dance associations. Patsalidou is an active researcher in the field of dance education, dance wellness programs, ballet technique and dance multimedia production and has been invited to present her research in international dance conferences in USA and Europe.
